Transmission Drain Plug Leak

I have always had a small leak around the transmission drain plug. While I was working on my starter problem I decided to tackle this problem also. What I found was the brass 45 degree fitting that was screwed into the tranny has tapered pipe thread and the tranny hole is a straight thread. Also the plug that was screwed in to the fitting was a straight thread also. I had used teflon tape on this connection without any problems. Got a new 45 degree fitting from the auto parts store applied thread sealant and installed, we will see if this stops the leak. If not then I will either re-thread the hole in the tranny housing or try to find a fitting with the right thread. Just some info in case some one else is having this problem.:job:

You think that is bad... try working on anything with a 300 tire. The k9's are bad but the newer pitbulls are way worse!!

I rode it to work yesterday and checked everything out and I still have the transmission oil leak. It appeared to be coming from the drain plug. But it maybe a transmission output seal leaking.
