Trans not shifting at all.

Was riding around after a poker run when tried to shift down made a slight grinding noise ,kinda sounded like when you miss a gear. Then wouldnt shift into any gear at all. just kinda made a noise like a fork jumping across the gears. Any help on this would be helpful. Ive been plagued with minor issues on Both of my bikes this year. Kinda sux:angry:

What year is your BDM? How many actual miles on transmission?
You could have a loose Counter shaft bolt (update to the tapered washer after 2007) worn bearings, retaining clip failure, or worn/bent shift fork.
Most likely you will have to take top cover off and even primary to inspect the items listed above.
