trans fluid from trans vent

Hey Dawgs..Since sturgis have had a problem with fluid being pushed out of trans vent tube..Fluid level is at proper amount, primary fluid at proper amount, same for engine oil..Burt Baker himself could not explain a build up of pressure in trans to push out fluid.Changed engine seal, adjusted trans elbow to vertical, put crank case filter in the trans tube in vertical position.Drips at around town speeds,on the highway the problem gets worse. It is enough to cover back disc brake, license plate, swing arm, left strut and blinker..Any help would be great....

You say it is the correct amount of fluid, how much did you put in? The spec is 20-24oz. You going off the dip stick or did you measure it out?
Also what type of fluid are you using? Is it just regular hypoid gear oil or full synthetic? I have not seen this yet but it may be caused by worn bearings in your transmission. If they are causing excessive heat it may be building up high pressures inside and has no place to go other than the vent.
How many miles on your bike (real miles, if you have ever had a new speedo put in) ??
Does your inner primary have the small vent? Just thinking out loud.

You might check and verify it's not your starter leaking.

Just a thought

Don’t forget when checking fluid level of trans not to be on the kickstand. Bike level. Trans warm.

If you are 1 oz overfull it will vent.If your fluid is new and clean the stick is hard to read.
take some black spray paint and paint the end of stick then easy to read.Check hot bike level.Remember fluid expands when hot.My 07 k-9 did the same thing.

Hey figured it out..Trans main shaft must have been put out of round by bearings which every time main shaft spun on the ob-long part of shaft it was sucking primary fluid into trans.Baker has a rebuild place, but im in a pinch for time they said 2-4 weeks for return. So i had to order all replacement parts
