Tranny drain plug

Hi all
can some one tell me should my tranny drain plug have an o'ring or not, i changed the oil and there was no o'ring now i have slight leak i noticed the ones Curtis sells have an o'ring also should there be one on the 45 elbow ( i had to remove the 45 elbow to get the plug out)

No O-ring on the tranny plug, but ya should use a thread sealer on the threads for both elbow and plug.
The plugs with the O-rings are for the primary oil and the engine oil tank.

Thanks for your feedback guys got my new elbow and plug from Curtis a few weeks ago and the new tranny plug has an oring on it works great stopped my leak

Glad ya got it fixed up but that's very unusual that there's an o-ring on a pipe thread
