Wow sorry to hear that - I would have emptied my xanax bottle over that one. You can bet that everyone on this thread ran out to their garage and checked their front master cylinder or covered their tank up...hang in there buddy! If this won't make you cry nothing will!
Couple hours pass, I head back out to the garage to head out again. HERE IT COMES - The front brake master cylinder has leaked brake fluid all over my tank and the paint has peeled like a sunburned chicken!
After I throw my guts up on the garage floor and a psychotic hour of screaming and throwing everything near me, Carrie my wife, finally risks entering the garage and hugs me while I have an emotional break down.
Once I stop shaking I take the master cylinder off and the piston falls out in my hand. (TAKE NOTE: THIS WAS A BRAND NEW "CHROME BD" FORWARD CONTROL")
Lesson learned lady's and gents - trust nothing new, check it all over 1st before installing it. Strange thing is when we did a bleed on the front brake it seemed a little soft, however it built pressure when pulled about 1/2 way back.
I'm in a very bad place right now... I feel bad for me, Ed and the walls in my garage. Life goes one.
I guess I will order myself the tank & fender service covers today. I don't want to have that happen to me.
