if you are not having a problem with them, just continue to run them. some members (raywood for one) on here have run them for over 50K without problems. just start yourself a slush fund for the future.

Mine tap a well. I have adjusted my pushrods and it helped a little but have just learned to live with it.

I have the TP Rockers too. Called S&S yesterday also and was told the same thing... I have the tapping also. I have also noticed a little oil leak on the back of the rear rocker. Not sure where its coming from. I am not a mechanic. I thought I need to go ahead and change out to S&S but the guy I talked with told me the same thing he told you. The problem with Tp is normally just the Rocker Arm. I asked him if it was possible to have the S&S Rocker arm. Is this possible?

I have the TP's on my 06 also. I've had the tapping noise since new. 17,000 miles and still runs great. I ran synthetic oil one time on a oil change and the tapping seemed worse. So now when I change the oil I use regular 20-50 with about a half quart of Lucus oil treatment. Seems to have less tapping noise. Unless you have lots of money I would run it. If your bike starts to smoke or have excessive oil consumption I would change them out. All of the 117's I've seen have some tapping to them. I plan on running mine until the problem gets worse or I win the lottery :D

Tell you what if you win the lottery hook me up and I will do the same if i win. I am in agreement with you, just run it till it breaks. No sense in fixing what is not broke.
