TP Rockers and bigger cam

Ok I just got a 05 Mastiff with the TP rockers. Has anybody installed a 600 cam and bigger springs in there 117 without changing out the boxes. I am getting conflicting info, S&S says change them and TP says they are good do not change them. And if I do change the boxes, which I really do not want to, can I transfer the rockers into the new S&S boxes? Thanks for any help!

The rocker arms are different for each type of rocker boxes - The tops have to be ALL S&S or ALL TP - there are no interchangeable parts in rocker boxes (I’m pretty sure)

Most will tell you to change it over to the s&s rockers, because there is a miss aliment on the push rods. There are several threads on this. That being said a friend of mine, who has to be faster than everyone else, money no object, is still running his, with a ,650 cam. I don't know what they did to the head, other than I know it was welded excessively, and remachined. I think they changed the angle of the valves, and the contour of the ports.
Spend the money and put the s&s rockers on it.

Your choice. All I can say is that I have fixed a lot of Big Dog bikes, for people on this forum with the TP rocker box assemblies. It's your choice. The damage from the poor geometry the TP boxes create, will cost more than the S&S boxes, and related parts.
