Mike Lamb stripped the old chrome off then polished the cast Alu. Mine look better now than new chrome ones (the finish I mean)

I was told if they chrome was peeling they couldn’t rechrome must not be true

No mine were not rechromed mine had the old chrome ground off down to the rough cast Alu, and then Mike sanded and polished them.

I didn't want to buy new ones and I didn't want to take my current boxes off he stripped and polished them on the motor just as you see it in the pic then he sanded and polished the rest of my motor too.
