BB, Looks like a pretty good wear pattern from what I can see. Wipe off the top of the valves and take pictures of the tops where the rocker contacts the valve.

John's working my heads now. He is pretty sharp with this stuff, I don't think you will find any better.

I'd still pull the heads and check the guides. For blow by like Ray had, they needed to be super sloppy.

As long as there wasnt damage I figured I should get them changed out!!!:2thumbs:
BB.. from what i was told the problem was not necessarily the TP boxes... as can be seen by the fact some here have a LOT of miles on them... the problem was the alignment of the box when it is torqued down. they use the bolts to align them and some have excessive movement and can be tightened down with the rocker off center of the valve steam.. Just keep that in mind when you reinstall them.:2thumbs:

BB if you will post some better pictures of the valve stems where the rocker roller contacts the valve stem, I can tell from my experience. Also how many miles do you have on your bike? I have about 12k on mine and I wasn't far from major trouble.

Did a test fit last night. Seems if you start all the bolts then push the rocker box to the left and let it center on the bolt's snug it down then drop a rocker in it's dead center. But if you push to the right to center it's off.

you also move the lower box around for spring clearance.

I may have to pull mine agian and ensure I had mine centered or placed right. I don't remember having any slop or movement in them now but guess it would be worth going back and checking.
