Too Much Bling....?

Next week I'm scheduled to have my EZ-Pull installed and I'm thinking of adding some LED accent lights on the motor. Bike is neon green and was thinking of 3 green lights with on-off switch.

What do you guys think about lights? Too much bling? Interested if anyone has them, how many you used and where you placed them.

Thanks
Frank

I did the LED lights on mine. Red Ridgeback. To me, they really make the bike stand out more at night.
I have 4 sets of 3 three lights in the gas tank channel shining onto the motor. I have one set of 3 running to the front brake assembly and shining onto the wheel. Another set to the rear wheel. And one under the battery tray facing forward. I have always liked the lights, and probably wouldn't mind having a few more scattered on the bike.

Guess I'm more old school too. Can't bring myself to install any on mine either. My wife loves them but, I'm not going to do it.

Lisa likes them but I would rather have my eye balls branded - its a bike not a christmas tree

No lights here either just not my thing however with all the electrical problems many of these bikes have had it may not be the best idea.

Lights are fine on a show bike that gets trailered between shows.

Most states have things on the books for "novelty lights" and I've had a bud pulled over here in VA for riding with them on at night.

Then again, they do make your bike easier to find at night after you've had a couple. (humm -- maybe we should send some to Blitzkrieg and Sul for Christmas)

i'm running 3 lizard lights on my bike, i wish i had more but havent got that far yet. i like how they allow me to change the colors. i'm big into like though because of the semi's, can't ever have enough lights on a rig.

I installed Red Leds on mine but it made it look to GETTO-ISH in my opinion I kept removing more and more of the lights to get it to look better until I finally had them all removed and was happyest with that look.

Lambo, you asked so here you go. Don't have them on my bike. Don't think I ever will. The effect really makes the bike look cool and all but I just don't care for them on a bike. Lots of guys have them, like them and you can find kits for sale that will do your entire bike but it's just not for me. If you do decide to go for the lights, don't do anything permanent to the bike just in case you decide to remove them.

My .02 cents.....:D

Lights look ridiculous in my humble opinion:D . Reminds me of the low rider crowd when I was in high school. Do what you want it's your bike.

I don't have them on my bike either.......but ...the best way to make your scoot stand out.....:whoop:

in my opinion.....:spank:

No lights here either but I would take that accessory on the right,

Little unsure about the one on the left though, looks like a little hail damage on that one.

I was thinking the same Fat Dog...the one on the left looks like it has some miles on it!
HECK I'm not choosy I'd tap that!

As for light I have some, it blinks left and right and one big one in the front that light the road for me:whoop:

It's your ride braddah do what you like:up:

I've got them on mine and it gets a shit load of attention. But ya it's not old school but I don't think these bikes are anyway.
it doesn't matter where I go or who I'm riding with people love these bikes
and I bet on a average trip out I'm getting at least 4 compliments on a afternoon ride.

all the compliments seem to really piss off my friends with chromed out harleys too.:)

A friend of mine has a K9 with some red leds and they look good on his bike. Makes everything stand out when it starts to get dark.
Has a awesome bones paint scheme that is redish too boot.

They look cool but ...

Its just one more potential electrical problem and hiding the wires while avoiding potential shorts looks like too much work. I would rather have a set of road lights! guess I'am not cool enough! :)
