I ordered mine through EDO Performance on Oct.3 and received it on Oct.9. Only thing that sucked was the 29.95 shipping charge.

Check out amazon. Was expensive for shipping. But, due to weight and it being a battery to ship. Its not bad. Ive had mine 10 months already and really like it. I dont keep it on a trickle charger and it always fires up

I put my newTomioka 1500 in the K-9 yesterday and when I went to fire it up for the first time I was expecting it to crank the bike over much more easily than the HD 310CCA battery that I was replacing. Didn't happen.

Do the new batteries have to be charged first or something. I was kind of disappointed that it didn't crank the motor over like I have heard others say it would.

Any suggestions?

Most throw the new batteries on a tender a couple of hours before firing it up. At least that's what I do...

they actually should be put on a 24 hr. charge before you put them in the bike. a trickle charge will not do the job.

So other than the hijack, any other sources for this battery?

My links no good? What you looking for a brick and mortar store? Probably won't find one.

You will notice with cooler weather the bike will still start but slower. When the engine and oil are cold it takes a bit more. Might pay a bit more in the beginning for this battery but I think overall its worth a few extra bucks for a great battery that will last.

I found a place that had the Tomioka for a little less. It is www.optionsauto.com , they are on the west coast. However the battery was $ 159 and shipping was $ 21 and change. So just over $ 180 , not bad. Will receive next week, the other option for you would be to ask your local authorized service dealer if they can order for you.
