Thanks All,
You guys are great and I really appreciate knowing there is love out the for the best looking thing on two wheels.
I did it yesterday and this morning I woke up and went out to my garage to see my new-to-me Matte Black, 06 K-9 with 3400 miles. Come on sun...let’s go!
Spaniard, thanks for those links...I won’t be afraid to dig in and use them.
Keep the rubber side down,

I slowly stimulated her to get her all charged up (battery charger) then I rubbed her two nice jugs (knocked dust off) then messaged her nice round ass (put in the rear tire, valve stem leaks) and I stroked her lovingly (wiped the bike down), and as I pulled out she got all excited (actually started first time) and as soon as I got her going she was into it (perfect morning), so I rode her hard and rode her fast and when I got her home she wanted to nap (I rode her but my ass is numb??). ah yes a Sunday morning ride on the K9...

Show her off........post pics.
Yes sir :)
Gimme just a bit to get some pic posted. Headed to church and then it’s a big dog polishing party.

Help??? For the life of me I can find how to post a new forum topic. Would you please guide me to the correct series of buttons?
I want to ask the community for votes on a topic.

Well depending on your topic we have a multitude of forums designed to help categorize the topics. it's best to just go to the forums main and select the forum/category you feel is best suited for your thread. And there is even more categorization options on some forums to click into. Click on the forum name and at the top it will just say "post new thread" on the top right of your screen and once you click there it will open a new page and allow you to type away!

If you want to do a poll that is also an option when you start the thread

Now if you have a question or interested in a particular part of your new bike, I would suggest trying a search first. Yes, it takes time to crawl through the threads but you'll learn alot and basically any mechanical or trouble shooting issue has been covered with these bikes multiple times. These bikes aren't new, and any issues you may have I'd find it hard to believe hasn't been covered, and some of the basics like how to change your oil, etc posting a new thread on that will piss of a few..haha

I still use the search tool when I'm wrenching on my bike, even after 9 years of owning it because sometimes I do forget some details and want a refresher.

Happy Hunting and Welcome!

I have a 2006 k-9 over 41000 miles and I love it, I purchased NEW and did have dealer do warranty work - but they sometimes even screwed that up. I purchased a shop manual and have been doing all my own work on bike for years now. I do all the maintenance which is important, oil changes, primary fluid changes ( but now I have a open primary so no longer have to do that ), trans. fluid, fork fluid and seals etc. I have not had any major problems. Over 48 hours of owning a K9 and haven’t posted pics yet?
There’s only one acceptable excuse.
“I haven’t gotten off of it long enough to take pics yet.”

Let’s see it...

Hi All,
I’ve been riding for almost 40 years with the lest 16 on a break for kids. Got permission from myself to get a bike this spring and Im looking at buying an 06 k9 and am really looking for some reassurance from folks who know.
Man you can sure find a lot of negative writings out there on these gorgeous machines that would lead a guy to believe that maybe they make better museum pieces than road bikes.
Hoping I can I get some thumbs up or some other kind of note from all y’all telling me that you love your bikes. I sure would like to hear the other side of the story.
Hoping to join the club,
Todd[
Well I've owned my 04 big dog ridgeback since 2014. I had just sold a special construction I built and needed a new bike. Ok let me just say this. I had only owned Harley's up to that point. In my opinion this has got to be the nicest bike I have ever owned. The special construction I built from scratch was all aftermarket except for the Harley heads I used. It was also a Evo big twin. I bought the cheapest everything I could find new and spent right at $10,000 to build. I bought my big dog for $8,000 cash. With 3 thousand miles in mint condition. I've never regreated not building another bike with the name Harley on it.
