Tires....

Going to need to buy a new front and rear tire.....08 Ridgeback....

Any ideas where to get newer tires....nothing on the shelf for 2 years?

Yes that is a 1/4 inch nail in the rear tire. The tire also has 2 cuts across it. Not sure what that is from.

On my original Avon venom I got 10,000 miles out if it and that was with two plugs from nail holes. My current Cobra is doing the same thing as yours with the cuts across it. That is a defect in the tires causing the treads to slowly split. Most would tell you to replace it because its failing and I agree. I haven't s replaced mine and I continue to watch it get worse and worse (3k miles on it). I see no problem plugging your tire if it has tread life. My .02.

Looks like they are the cheapest going right now. I bought some new tires for my Ridgeback three months back on the cheap through J&Ps tire sale but it looks like they're not offering that anymore. Of course I changed over to Metzler though. Denniskirk is offering free shipping, correct?

I had the tread separation on a 250mm Cobra Venom I ran for just under a year; got about 4500 miles out of it. Took it back to Cycle Gear where they took some pic's and sent it to the Avon N. American dealer and covered it under warranty. All I paid for was the mounting/balancing...

I believe you still can get venoms in 330s... Not sure about the front tires. You shouldn't mix and match threads though...

I ordered matching avon venom from Dennis kirk. 120 / 330 for $404 bucks. We will see how it goes.
