tires: 260 vs. 250

I have an '06 Mastiff with a 250 tire on it. Thinking about going with a Metezler 260 which is about 3/8" wider. Does anybody know if this will fit on my bike? I have about 1/4" between the tire and the belt right now so that should work. Is there any other clearence issues I need to be concerned with? All input is greatly appreciated.

There was no problem whatsoever going from the stock 250 Avon to the 260 Metzeler on my 2005 Chopper DT. Everybody's got their opinion on Avon vs. Metzeler, but my bike corners, handles and generally rides better now with Metzelers. Only a trained eye can tell any difference in width. Yeah, thats what I've heard about the Metzelers, that why I wanted to switch from the Avons. A buddy of mine switched on his K-9 (300mm) and he said there was a noticeable difference in cornering and overall ride.

Actually the 260 Metzelers is narrower than the avon 250. Here's a link with some tire dimentions. Go to tire deals, then big tire dimensions
