Tire Prices and what brand

Going to replace both front an rear tires on my bike this winter. Wanted to know who has the best price on them. I have a 07 Mastiff going to need the 300/35/18 and a 120/70/21. Just wanted to get some feedback on the prices if anyone else has had to buy lately. Also has anyone tried the Metzlers, think of trying something other than the Avons.
Thanks

Several on here have the metzlers and it seems to be working for them. Metzler has a tire now that will fit for the rear without having to sand down the side wall to keep from rubbing on the belt. I'm on my 4th Avon rear tire and have had the splice issue on all of them. If this one does it, then I will be going the metzler route. Metzlers aren't cheap though...

I am torn in this decision also. After reading all these threads I am afraid of the avon... I run metzlers on my sport bike 240 rear and have never had a problem. The dog has the stock avon on it but soon I have to make a decision.

It's simple - don't put a Cobra on. Then again, Raywood went somewhere around 15K on his rear Cobra (even if it was a 250mm). So, don't be scared! You do ride a Big Dog and I assume you are a true Biker - Right?

My wife had her Corvette tire go flat yesterday, called a tow truck, and had it repaired in less than 4 hours. The point is, nothing is perfect and you can't live scared!

Nuke. Not scared like that but I am in Italy working where speed limits are highly ignored and help is not always easy if one breaks down. I had a close call near Rome last year in front of an 18 wheeler. Not scared but as my military mind has for the last 20 years taught me. Careful. Oh yeah I ride one of the two dogs I know of here in Italy.lol! Real biker? Well probably a feeling real old biker!

I see your concern for reliability now. Sorry about that. The military does change the way you think. Being on submarines make me have spare everything and backups to just about everything that comes to mind. So, even though I am not scared, I am a crazy minded backup everything kind of guy now.:bang:

You're a real biker and nobody can take that away from you.:D

Yes in the states the language is the same also. Even though I speak Italian. I am still an outsider and I do not trust here easily. Lol. Planning next year to ride across Europe. Need reliable equipment for the week long ride. Thanks for all the help u guys on this forum provide. Feels great to have someone to depend on.
