Welcome from NJ,
I have a K9 soft tail and run at 40 lbs with no unusual wear or handling issues. Someone on this site will know how low you can go and still be safe. Hard tails are cool not comfortable :D :chopper:

I always use what ever psi the manufacturer recommends, in my ridgid bikes. Tires are to dam expensive to have wear out premature, due to under inflation. Your tires, your choice.

I ran at 42 front and rear several years ago , hit a bridge approach on the interstate at 65 mph , a guy following me later said he could see air under the whole bike , i did'nt get bucked but it was concerning.

I have a Ridgeback with a 300 on the rear, rigid of course. I run 18# on rear and 32# on front...I'm 6'1" 270#

Recommended pressure is best.

If you run them low, they are slightly more compliant, but will wear and harden faster.

I recall a fact of they run about 10 deg hotter per PSI below 40.

This will heat cycle them faster and harden the tread.
If you want to monitor you tire pressure and temperature you can use these guys

App that come with (dl doesn't work) but I have found another app for android that works just fine and I am building a module that will display on the handlebars the PSI/temp etc without using the cell phone, based on an online article.

That skinny little front I would run 40-42, rear you can run a little lower, watch air pressure, set it, go for a ride and check it hot, see how much it gains, shoot for 2-3psi gain.
