Tire Pressure

I have a 07 Mastiff ,and know the air pressure in the front and rear tires are recommend to be a little over 40 psi in each one. I`am currently running 40 in each ,but would like a little smoother ride. Just wondered if anyone knows how much would be to low, causing rapid tire wear.
Thanks

I wouldnt go below 32 psi... try a few psi @ the time & seee how it rides.. not sure why it would ride hard though I bought a 06 mastiff 6 weeks or so ago for my G/F it rides smooth as glass.. I'm just used to my pitbull..

some run as low as 32 in the rear but as stated there are a lot of variables that come into play. your weight, passenger y/n, surface of road most ridden, how you take corners, type of launch, and the list goes on and on and each one affecting the others.

I run 42 psi on my K-9, the Mastiff is a soft tail too, how soft do ya want it ? maybe you shouldn't get off the couch    sorry man its FRIDAY

I've found out the hard way that lower air pressures are hell on the rear tire, but to each his own. Just be careful you don't go to low. If the bead starts to separate between the rim and the tire, well, that could get real messy real quick.

I had one go flat on me from a nail and if I would have been in heavy traffic I would have been roadkill. Had to push bars hard hard hard right just to keep going straight let alone enough to get her on the shoulder of the road.

I run about 30. But mine's a rigid. I know these are famous last words, but the dealer said it was okay! It helps with the bad roads. 41 just feels like I'm getting punched right in the butt!

According to the tire manufacturers running 10 pounds lower than what is specified on the sidewall of the tire will make your tire run hot up to 200 degrees.
