Tire bead leak

My 06 K-9 with OEM wheels that have been chromed. (300 35VR 18). I know it is because of the dissimilar metals with the chrome but is there any way to resolve a significant bead leak? I had the same problem with the front tire which was resolved by installing a tube. I have cleaned the bead, used a double dose of quality bead sealer, however, nothing works. I do not believe there is a suitable tube for the 300, correct? Any ideas short of a re-chrome would be appreciated.

My K9 has chrome wheels too–the front one is anb OEM 2008 chrome package wheel, and has been peling. It developed a bead leak and I put in a tube like you did. Unhappily on the way to Sturgis, a piece of the chrome sliced the tube and I had a flat. Fortunately there was a bike dealer 1/4 mile from the gas station we were at. Filled the tire and raced over and got them to wire brush the inner rim and replace the tube.

Had one that was easily resolved with a little bead sealer.

the next time I changed tire, I cleaned up the rim, the clear was chipping and haven’t had an issue since.

if you have a nice clean uniform surface, you should not have an issue.
