Tips to replace spark plug wires?

I just bought some new spark plug wires and I was wondering if there was any easy way to replace them without having to completely remove the coil cover?
The two pinch clamps holding the wires on are not easy to get to while the coil cover is still attached to the bike.
Any tips?

Thats what the service manual calls them. There are two round straps that hold the wires away from the jugs.

I've never seen them.

And here I though I knew it all!!!!!!


I just looked on Curtis 06 K9 and he doesn't have those

My 08 Mastiff has the two Adale clamps but my 05 Ridgeback doesn't...

mine had the "pinch clamps" also..I left them off when I replaced my wires..
I did have to remove coil cover..

I had to remove the cover. Used zip ties to secure the wires to the pinch clamps as the clamps were too small for the new wires. Pretty easy job.

If you dont have these so-called "Pinch Clamps" then you can just pull the plug wires and replace. I was able to get my hands in there, it's a slight pain to get the new wires back on the coil but it can be done. It took me about 10. Still faster than the pulling the cover off and losing one of those nylon washers in the process
