Timing Light on an S&S

I've got a theory problem with the VOES and his abstract starting at about 5:40... "When your engine is under a load, and have the throttle cranked open, manifold vacuum drops; which causes the VOES to open; which intern; signals the HI module to reduce ignition advance."

First and foremost the shop man you will [pay for dis] is not going to explain 'Bolean Logic' moves, "Truth Tables," "Flip-Flop," shit like that... once you apply a resistor, IC, and a capacitor all in a black box: she blows out "Binary." The S means 'Sensor' in my book.

The reason my bike looks like it does is one moving DTT. No motherfucker pullshit over my eyes when it comes to watt little I know about a processor. The vac sensor puts out numbers as it is being sucked upon. The processor reads 'analog' input. Many means analog. Digital means one. You are about to blow this abstract under the bus with a cough to the right.

Here bleeds the fundamental basics. What is the number resting on that vacuum sensor? If we say sea level, it's at 14.7 psi. If I WOT the throttle, how much vacuum shows at a vac gauge? 0 (14.7) is the number. What is the number of the vacuum gauge when the engine is not running? 0 or 14.7 pee yes eye am handcuffed to this number in the most basic fundamental move. Grasp that you now can grasp this ON-OFF switching that happens in the lock of the flip to flop, the bolean logic move, the binary, the "Backup"; the sensor fails/wire not attached/vac hose came off.

So if I am at full WOT, the vacuum shows 0 or 14.7, the engine does not retard. Show me how I am still at WOT, the vac shows a binary number at FULL VAC, and no other vacuum number is sending in another number to change the retard to advance. It says I am at 150mph at FULL WOT = RETARD??????????

WATT happens if the sensor fails? No input from the VOES, right? I remove the vac it defaults to a 760mmHg in the math. It defaults to 0. It defaults to 14.7. It defaults to 1 atmosphere. It all means the same thing. If the wire was not grounded, meaning, sending in many signals, it now sends in the same number all over again and again. The theory now says, "Digital" or 1 number sent into the black box is not an analog number any longer. Black box is looking for MANY analog numbers, because the throttle vac is a variable or linear in vac movement. So you can count it from 0 to WOT. I can say, "A black box, computer, clock; BEGINS AT 0 >> upon startup."

The DTT is so basic. Trigger is a toilet handle. Threshold is the water held in the tank. Discharge is how handcuffed DTT is inside the black box making the same exact move. A constant processing of flushing out where you are in throttle apply? So goes the flip-flop move of dumping the RAM to see where that vac is in throttle angle = VOES + TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). IAP (Intake Air Pressure Sensor) or the VOES remains, cam sensor is now introduced. I see how it evolves thru the years. Simple and complex at the same time.

So the basics are 0 = 14.7 psi - 760mmHg - 1 atmosphere is the BACKUP single number flipped to a flop; something goes wrong with VOES. That means a wire lost or vac lost is now in backup, because it no longer sees analog coming in to process an analog demand.

I apply the VOES backup reading a single number as in out of the loop, the bike does not retard at WOT. Threshold is 10° from 0 to 2000 rpm. Flipflops to 55° or full advance past 2001 rpm when VOES fails. Flip locks to Flop in other words. 3 moves in the processing are 3 ways to flow parts on the motherboard; we eliminate a capacitor or add another resistor. You tell me if that guy understood his own abstract to the on/off switching of a vacuum move. I'm going to say: not in so many Truth Table Moves is the handcuffs of the DTT.

And once you digest that, I'm going to tune my advancer without VOES in the loop. Why? Because this shows me the flip to flop>>> the VOES is more a linear move up the service plate opening. The rotor mark should snap to full advance. Now I set my timing plate.

I then remove the golf tee out of the hose and back on the VOES. I then start the bike again, watch the linear move in the service plate opening. It shows me the VOES is working as did the black box showed it could BACKUP in the flip of the DTT go flop.

Did this just the other day when I had my outer primary off.
Get TDC front
Straight down put a line on the inner primary.
Straight down put the T:F on the motor sprocket.
Put the timing hole plug and spark plugs back in and start bike.
Shoot the marks.
Turn ignition to 28 degrees for built motor.
Vroom vroom

Sven; I'm sure it was just a typographical error when you referred to "Bolean logic". I don't think old George Boole would want his concept misspelled like that.
