Time to re-jet?

I'm running the stock S&S carb and have done a re-build. But it still stutters and sneezes when I bring the revs up. It's really noticeable when I am cruising around 70 to 75. From reading the S&S carb quick guide, it sounds like I need to re-jet. Anyone else had this experience? And, would you know what jet size I should go to? Engine is the 107 with stock Kerker pipes. Thanks!

if you are running the original pipes and nothing else has changed (location, cam, etc.) might want to check the needle valve (any miss shaping of the tip to seat) before you start throwing other jets at it. a rebuild of the carb should NOT cause you to need larger jets.

It sounds to me like you need to adjust your accelerator pump which screw is located on the right side of the carb as you look at it. Turn it all the way in, make sure it is seated all the way in but not tight cause you can damage the screw itself. Then back it out about 1/2 turn and start the bike. Twist the throttle hard and if it hesitates or sneezes, take it out another 1/4 turn and do the same hard twist on the throttle to see if that hesitation or sneeze went away. If it hasn't keep taking out 1/4 turn at a time till the hesitation goes away. If you take it out more than 1 1/2 turns you may want to check for intake or exhaust leaks. Hope that helps
