Hey all you forum members that have been thinking about putting Cruise-Mate on your Big dogs but waiting for whatever reason.

I'm very close to a deal with BDM at which time I will likely give them exclusive rights to sell the Big Dog Cruise-Mate.

As many of you know I give forum members a very good discount, however, once I make a deal with BDM I will honor that deal and not sell directly to Big Dog owners and the price will be substantially higher than it is now, so if you're interested you might wanna act fast.

Here's the pricing info; Present retail price is $84.95, anticipating a price cut to $69.95, however, that price cut may never happen. Right now I am selling to forum members for $57.71 delivered, unlikely you'll ever see this price again.

Only reason I'm posting this is because forum members have been very supportive of CM and I want all to have an opportunity to purchase prior to the upcoming changes.

If interested you can call me anytime at 877.642.3722. Cheers and happy and prosperous new year to all.

Guess what all these bikes had in common at the Redwood Run June last year?

Yep, they all had a Cruise-Mate. Another popular successful item on here! :2thumbs:

I wish I had more money.
Im sorry. I still don't understand what is better about these than what came stock on mine? I want one but can't justify getting one if it isn't any different than what I have. Ya know what I mean. If one of you that have it could explain why it is so much better please do.

Your stock one requires you to use two hands. One holding the throttle and the other to screw that little thing in. Then you have the issue of "are you turning it the right direction"?

With the Cruise-Mate it's a thumb lever that you use your throttle hand to thumb it to lock it in position and you can thumb it or use your index finger to push it back to unlock.

Very simple creative design. Makes and excellent warm up device also.

SIICK!!!
Mikie....I also have the cruise-mate on my scoot....its alot better than the stockie.....set the throttle flip forward....flip back and it releases...instead of trying to screw in the spring thingy that the bike came with...look in the cruise-mate thread or Tom's site...shows how it works..:2thumbs: ..as Ray said...

Am I going to have the open hole in the bottom where the old one was or is the old hole used?

You use the existing hole but you will have to bore it out some and rethread it. Not to hard as many on here have done it already.

I put one on mine and a friends bike last week. It is far better than stock and I say a must have. Much more user friendly. Tom at Cruise-Mate is one of the best I have dealt with.

Got mine for X-mas,
great quality too. Well worth it. Plus it is greatly discounted now.

Another round please
I am not sure if the tap still comes with the kit, but I have my tap(I think) if anyone needs it.

No the tap and drill bit doesn't come with it. But they are cheap 21/64" drill bit and a 3/8X24 tap. I had to buy a tap and it was about $3 at NAPA.

Drill and tap

For a while I gave the drill and tap with the kit, I bought a bunch on eBay cheap so was able to do that. Right now I do sell the drill and tap for $10 or if you want you can borrow them and ship them back.

Most I offer that to just say sell it to me, shipping back is too much a pain in the ass.

I got mine from the wife for Christmas. Just got through putting it on. The directions included are pretty straight forward and was able to get it done...even for a non-wrench turn'r like myself. Haven't been out yet to try it, but got a feeling it is going to be sweet to use!
