Ticking solved

So I was pretty certain my ticking came from the TP rocker boxes (used a stethoscope after reading on forums and noted the ticking at the front of the rocker boxes?). However, after I dropped it off at my shop (141 Speed Cycles) they said the rollers look fine and tight and that it is the lifters that needed replacing. So my question is if I should have them check anything else before I bring it home. If the lifters are 'bad' is there anything else that should be checked?

My understanding is lifters need to be replaced a round 20,000 miles, that is normal wear.

I'm around 13k so perhaps that contributed...(normal wear and tear).

With the TP boxes, I would check valve guide wear if it's a 117" 4 1/8" bore engine.

If they are adjustable type push rods I would have reset the spin on the flats to see if one was too tight. Setting valves for years and a tick is a tight lifter/rocker arm/shim..
