It will not work on an 03. 03s use a cam sensor this unit uses a crank sensor.

Will this "upgrade" work on an 03 chopper, question, question

I have the software for the 5012 module, I got it from a Big Dog Dealer... BUT
it doesn't see my old module

MIne works fine I want to go adjustable and single fire, more in the performance area
before I go into cam changes

I see, your only option then is to go with a cam chest module and get rid of the TH module.
Its not difficult to do.
There are several available and it depends on your budget and who you talk to.
Some units that forum members here have had good success with are the Crane Hi4, the Daytona TwinTec and the DynaTek.
There are also knock off versions like the PowerHouse module, that we have a had good success with, that are American Made but allot lower in price.
The one thing to remember with Cam Chest modules is keep the heat down. Running the bike too lean or too hot in hotter climates will lead to early failure of the module.

Didn't realize there was an arrow figured the thing was just using the slots. I zoomed in I see it now. Don't know why they just didn't use the flat head slots ..but oh well

Did Thunderjet switch from a 90 degree arrow to the slot to an arrow on one end of the slot. I can't really see an arrow and am guessing. My slot is a bit chewed up.
