Leaving it all behind
My Chopper will start and idle for 30 minutes or more but when I take off I can only go 50 yards and the bike dies. All the electrical goes out lights, tach ect go dead. I'll stop and 30 seconds later the power comes back on and thew bike will start. I take off and moments later the same thing happens. Any ideas why and how to fix it?

Thanks Rottwellere I cleaned up the ground to frame contact points and any bolt together connections and any weak Sta-Kons
that looked week. Then just like magic the bike shutting down within walking distance of my driveway went away as fast as it started ... On the road again! Thanks Bro, great advise!

Leaving it all behind
I am sick and tired of the Thunderheart IHC on my 2004 Chopper. I spoke to an electrical engineer with 25 years of experience
working on and helping design electrical systems for motorcycles. After explaining the electrical problems I have been
experiencing since I got the 04 Chopper he made a profound statement. He said, "You realize the design and components on your bike are more than 20 years old and the parts that Big Dog sells to repair it are the OEM parts. Can you be surprised
when they too fail?" I thought about that and ordered a compleat electrical system that included every thing except the pig tails to the turn signals and tail light. I'll get it installed in the next couple of weeks. I'll let you know if was worth the money.
Also I'll will be selling the original system if any one is interested.
