I bet ya'll get tired of hearing about the wire-plus installation .. but i got one thing that i can't find do i have to reuse the thunder heart module or when i install the wire plus ehc replacement kit it removes that module? Because my bike just shut off while i was driving and now the light on the module does'nt even turn on any more. If i got to reuse i guess i need to order one. if ya'll could help me please....

I haven't put my wireplus in yet but you need the Thunderheart or something for the timing . You might want to look at your connections maybe something came loose. Just a thought. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in good luck.

If you are going to upgrade to wire plus, seriously, just change out the ignition module while you are at it. That proprietary thunderheart is a POS compared to one where you can adjust the curves, either with dip switches or a laptop if you really want to get into it.

Yea check all your connections and you will need an ignition module with the Wireplus. The red led on the ignition module should light up when you press the run button with the stock ehc.

I agree go with an adjustable one I did and there is a difference. Timing is everything with mods otherwise no sense in doing. If stock maybe someone has one lying around.. I'll try to find my old one.. But I might of let the kid use it for bb gun practice..

Thanks guys ... I'll check all my connections and if ya'll find an old it would hurt to change it out just to see if thats my problem... I'm still waiting on my wire-plus kit its been on backorder for 2 weeks now..

On the older dogs, replacing the ignition module/Thunderheart was the key to unlocking the rev limiter... maybe the guys with newer bikes know if that's still the same. If so, you might find an added benefit to changing them out.
