Just want some thoughts if this will not harm the EHC, and make a difference performance wise. I do have an S&S 600 cam with springs.
Don't know if I have EA 5007 or crank sensor.

Hello Bob,

If you have a cam triggered bike the EA 5007 which is a custom order
ignition would be your best choice. If your bike has a crank sensor the
EA 5012 would be your correct application, either of these are performance
upgrades over the factory OE ignition. They both can be wired to get power
from the harness controller or the switch and should not cause any issues
with the EHC assuming the EHC you have supplies ignition voltage through
the kill switch circuit.

Yep 5012 is what you need. That's my next purchase. I have the 600 cam with spring and roller rockers. Didn't do any head work after all. Runs good enough. Put that 5012 on and I'm done. Come back and let me know how it goes.

Dennis Kirk has them in stock for less than $300

The ad says it's a ASM-5012 for a crank sensor twin cam. Anyone know if this one will work?

Yea I got one myself and can tell a difference. It alows you to put more timing in. And no did not affect my EHC. The igntion is made by the same folks that made your stock igniton and its a easy install.

I've read a lot of positive things about it on this site, but I can't do it myself.

I just ride and let others fuck up my bike.

You will not regret this upgrade.

I had mine set a position # 4 for timing which is 32 degrees advance. Bike ran good but the rev limiter was in the way so I went to position "E" :D which gave me 36 degrees. Over time and the dam heat (temperature) down here I pushed it back to "D" 34 :D and it runs good there. With a 600 cam and the adjustable Thunder Heart I would start at position # 3 or # 4 for starters, depending if it detonates you may want to go lower. Good luck and ride safe.

THANKS!!
I'M GONNA PULL THE TRIGGER AS SOON AS I FIND SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING OUT HERE. I WASN'T ABLE TO TALK ABOUT IT WHILE BD WAS IN BUSINESS, BUT BETWEEN THE FACTORY AND THE LOCAL DEALER HERE IN VEGAS, THEY DESTROYED MY '05 CHOPPER AND I GAVE THEM THE OPTION IN '07 OF EITHER GIVING ME A NEW ONE WITH CUSTOM PAINT AT NO COST OR GO TO COURT.
IN THE FIRST YEAR MY '05 BETWEEN THE FACTORY AND THE DEALER I WAS WITHOUT IT FOR JUST OVER 9 MONTHS!!
THAT'S HOW I GOT MY '07.

Can you solder and heatshrink? I believe I've heard it's a color for color connection job. The guys here will straighten me out if I'm wrong. At any rate it shouldn't take your shop long to do it.

I don't know about the dogs, but I stopped by zippers in Maryland and picked up a thundermax auto tuner for my streetglide and it was plug and play. Just download the cd pick your motor/upgrades and crank her up. comes with everything you need including easy to follow instructions. If you are running efi with the 02 sensors, the new sensors are alittle longer than stock and also have four wiresb.

I talked to Larry at Thunderheart also and he set me straight on everything, as I'm easily confused. The EA5007 is a special order item and different from the one on their website. Call in and tell them what you need; it comes with a coil and is single fire too. This module does need the software to configure and that's in the kit. I had a TH Fuel Injection module on a bike of mine once and I liked their software interface. Very basic, but hard to screw up. This module is for the Cam Sensor setups only. I'm ordering one soon, but didn't get the price yet. If you ever need a new OEM cam sensor, you'll have to find that somewhere else or use a different ignition module.

Rob, I'm in the same boat as you as far as working on my bike, I had the Thunderheart ignition put on my 07 Mastiff and I could tell the difference, I recommend it
