A quick question: on my o4 Ridgeback: What is the screw with a spring on it situated under my hand throttle used for?, Just want to be sure before I do any adjustments.

Locks the throttle for long trips. Just spin it while you are cruzing to lock it in at that speed but don't turn it to tight just incase you have to slow down quickly.

Used to hold fast idle during warm up, I wouldn't use it while riding. Get a Cruise-mate like phatchopper300 said!!!:2thumbs:
