Throttle jammed

Tried to start the bike and tried to twist the throttle as always. It would not budge. I pulled a bit on the cable and it finally released. What do I need to adjust to make this stop from happening? Also I noticed at the bottom of the throttle handle a missing screw. never noticed it before as you have to look from the bottom up. Any ideas?

Sounds like you need to lubricate your cables and check for binding between the throttle and carb. If they are not lined up correctly just above the carb, they can easily show binding from the friction caused by an abnormal bend. If your bike sits outside, it could be corrosion build up which some proper lubrication will correct.

Bike has been garaged all this time. And no, no kinks in the carb. It has something to do with the throttle handle area. When I move the throttle and the cable going in it unlocks. Weird. And yes it must bee the throttle lock screw that is missing. I thought maybe that has something to do with it. Thanks all for the feedback

There are round brass ferrals that hook the cable to both the carb and grip. Make sure one of these hasnt disengaged or broken.

My K-9 came new with no screw/set screw, which made installing the cruise mate a little easier.
