The manual shows this screw, but doesn't explain it. How should it be adjusted and what does it do?

handlebar trottle side controls

P.S. I would have had Tom put on a CruiseMate while at Rockstar 2 weeks ago, but it got late and Luphole was trying to get out. So, next time. The Cruise Mate is on my Xmas list!

From what I understand the 03 and older bikes have a ball end on the end of the screw. This allows you to adjust the tension, but you can still roll on and off the throttle. The more tension, the more you have to close the throttle manually. 04 and newer have a point which is used to set the throttle to warm up your bike.

Replace original throttle lock

Jerry C and new members,

I presently offer forum members 18% discount on Cruise-Mate, which is a replacement for your OEM throttle lock, MSRP is $84.95, forum members pay $66 and change.

Approximately 70 members have purchased and virtually all love the device. If you decide to purchase and don't agree that it's worth every penny I'll buy it back and give you $20.00 for your trouble.

I have to ask, I see everyone getting theirs install, do you have to have this done or is it simple enough for you to do in your garage. Would like it more for warming my bike up than anything.

Anyone with average mechanical ability can install Cruise-Mate in under an hour. You're right about using it for warm up, however, once you get it installed and start using it your opinion will change as to what your favorite use of it is.

Tom can say that BECAUSE the Crusie-Mate works like a champ. Looks great and is especially wonderful as a high idle cold start up device. I got mine at Rockstar ( first one in line to be exact  ) and with no hesitation. After all if you could get the man that invented it to install it then it was a no brainer for sure.

Yea, if any one wants my screw just let me know:whoop: (LOL): Seriously
I can say without a doubt that Tom (the owner, inventor) is one of the best people I've dealt with, and the cruise-mate is one of the best mods that I have added to my bike. It's great for warm-up and cruising.Install was easy for me.

PS. Tom I got the extra spring in time for the 2600 mile trip and every thing was great.-----( I lost my first one before I installed it), called Tom between 8:30-9:00_pm he answered, and rushed me a replacement by pritory mail( so I could have it for my upcomming trip )at his expense and didn't want any $$$. He said all he wanted was to know if it did a good job and if I liked it. --I can say yes two both questions.:2thumbs:-- It's something I use every day on 1st starts. ----Thanks Tom for a great product and outstanding customer service.:2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
