Just wondering if anyone has had issues with the throttle cables becoming loose at the throttle control? Mine have alot of play in them and have become very loose at the handgrip. If so any ideas on replacing with something better then the OEM parts?

Do you mean they need to be adjusted to limit the of throttle play?

Or you mean it rattles around where it is inserted into the hand control?

I have adjusted them all the way out and perhapsthey have stretched too much and need replacing? I just can't understand that after only about 3500 miles they could be that stretched. I have noticed other BD's i have seen out and about that have had electrical tape on them right where they connect into the hand controls so i figured it might be an issue that someone here might know more about.

Have you had them apart before? No record of problems with them. I take mine apart all the time and never had an issue. So wondering if you have them them apart and maybe didn't replace them back together properly.

The barrel connectors should take out all the slack you need. I start with the return cable first removing slack then do the pull cable.

Keep us up to date on this,

had that problem with mine, there is a clip that helps hold those in place, i replaced the clips and no more problem

be careful with the little lock nuts on them too - can round them off really easily if you don't use the exact size wrench

What about the bracket on the carb?

Should have a taller and lower tunnel for that end of the cables.
