THROTTLE CABLE

I purchased a new throttle cable and I'm not sure if it's the wrong cable or I'm doing something wrong. As you can see from the picture I have lots of cable that when I twist the throttle it pops out of the grip. I took the pic without the furrel hooked to the cable. It doesn't seem to be a tight fit. I tried to adjust the adjuster on the cable to maybe take up the slack but it didn't do anything. Any ideas?

It looks like the 90 degree sleeve over the cable is not pushed all the way through on the bottom of the controls there should be a very small metal ring keeping it in place. If you can pull on it and it comes out very easily means that metal ring is missing. Hope this makes sense Just my 2 cents

Did you compare it to the old cable for the proper length, not trying to be a smart ass, but just throwing it out there.

It's up as far as it will go. There is a little "c ring" that holds it. It is there and its a PITA getting it on. No I didn't think of comparing the two. I have tried to install it differently on the grip. Didn't work either. Is it possible the return will be longer than the throttle? I talked to Curtis and he is looking into it also. Will keep you all posted on the results. Thanks!

OK here is the update. I ordered the WRONG cable. Looks like Curtis will exchange it for me. What a guy!

My ferrel also popped out a while back. After I fixed it, I used a real thin white zip tie to hold the two chrome elbows together. If nothing else it makes me feel better. You can also strip the insulation off of a bread bag wire tie and use that. Much less noticable.
