Well, it was a Three Dog DAY-trip, but I couldn't resist.
Three of us got together last Saturday for a trip around the twisties in the mountain foothills of the Pacific Northwest. On the left is KnotSo. In the middle is P8RIOT hugging his cutie, and on the right is a buddy who has yet to join the forum - we'll call him KBMridgeback. We're all standing in front of the house he built last year.
There were only two complaints on this trip - (1) we had to stop riding to eat, and then (2) stop eating to ride.
Here's the gang sampling a bit o' Big John's barbeque - it passed the test!
Meanwhile, on the road behind us was an almost continuous stream of Harleys going by. I thought some of them were going to crash, the way they twisted around to check out the Dawgs.
One leg of the trip was on Chuckanut Drive, which some claim is the most beautiful route in the state of Washington.
Here's the view at one of the stopping points, overlooking Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. We're still trying to get Raywood over there, but being a single parent, while his wife is serving in Iraq, is keeping him otherwise occupied (just as it should be). Hang in there, Raywood - you've got your priorities straight, good buddy.
