Three Dog Night

Well, it was a Three Dog DAY-trip, but I couldn't resist.

Three of us got together last Saturday for a trip around the twisties in the mountain foothills of the Pacific Northwest. On the left is KnotSo. In the middle is P8RIOT hugging his cutie, and on the right is a buddy who has yet to join the forum - we'll call him KBMridgeback. We're all standing in front of the house he built last year.

There were only two complaints on this trip - (1) we had to stop riding to eat, and then (2) stop eating to ride. :whoop:

Here's the gang sampling a bit o' Big John's barbeque - it passed the test!

Meanwhile, on the road behind us was an almost continuous stream of Harleys going by. I thought some of them were going to crash, the way they twisted around to check out the Dawgs. :D

One leg of the trip was on Chuckanut Drive, which some claim is the most beautiful route in the state of Washington.

Here's the view at one of the stopping points, overlooking Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. We're still trying to get Raywood over there, but being a single parent, while his wife is serving in Iraq, is keeping him otherwise occupied (just as it should be). Hang in there, Raywood - you've got your priorities straight, good buddy.

Great pictures! Wish I could have joined you guys.
I do have a friend watching my boy for the ABATE Springopener.

P8RIOT, you are going to have more miles than I do if you keep up this riding everyday!

Later,
Ray

KnotSo was suggesting a trip to Leavenworth sometime. Maybe we could meet up somewhere in the middle of the state.

Somewhere on this ride we heard about a local legend that had passed away that operated a well known local biker place called Scooter Stuff in a place we had not heard about before. So with vauge directions we found our way there (Park, WA), and it turned out to be a huge turnout for Bob's memorial of sorts. Great ppl and the place was packed with a lot of bikes.

Check it out: Scooter Stuff

Got to thinking about this ride when a new forum member signed in that has a direct connection to Scooter Stuff and the owners.

Hope he throws up an intro and mentions the Organization he belongs too.:2thumbs:

See Ya!

I live up there in Bremerton for a few years back when I was in the Navy. Took an old Sub threw PSNS for a refueling overhaul. Those pictures sure brought back some good ol' memories. Few Bars I remember - Nightshift, Coverleaf, Boatshed, and the list goes on....

Thanks buddy but this is an old thread and she is back now. She will be transferring to the USS Stennis CVN that is homeported here for the next three years.
