I would like to ask to those here who have a Dog with EFI!!! Pros, Cons?? Also what do all of you think about a Mastiff with a 300mm tire as opposed to say a 240mm like I have on my 03 Mastiff?? How is the control? Is there a difference? Again, Pros, Cons??

Reason I would like to know is Im thinking hard about trading up to a new DOG possibly an 07 or 08. Just doin some homework and seein straight up what others think about it. Any info would be awsome!!!

Thnx in advance...

I have an 07 Bulldog EFI with a 300mm rear tire.

I've riden a 2004 Triumph Rocket R3 with a 240 and personally I really can't see any noticable difference between them. Once you get used to a wide tire it's like riding any other. The EFI has been working just fine on both our bikes (BigdogBro1&2) with the self correcting MAPS etc.. 40 to 45 MPG. We have over 6000 miles between the two of us.

I have and enjoy my 2008 EFI K-9. I'm still breaking it in so I ride easy and get 45 mpg. I have 1200 miles so far with no problems. The 300 mm rear tire was a little getting use to, but I've now ridden it in most all situations even along a gravel road to a Patriot Guard ride to honor a fallen hero. I've noticed the rear tire is sensitive to seams or uneven sections of roadway making it fishtail very slightly as it wants to work back and forth across the seam. Not a problem, just something I've noticed. Good luck and ride safe!!

however i have bought an 08 k-9 efi in march and the damn thing has been in the shop 3 times already! just make sure your local dealer has worked on and are pretty good at dealing with the efi systems. but i prob wouldn't change a thing just who works on it! as for the 300, GO WITH IT! it looks great and just takes a little getting used to. good luck and let us know with what u decide.
