Those of you with Windshields...

Energy One
I use a bandana on long rides, summer or winter. Saves the face from wind and bugs. In the summer I pull it down at stop lights, its not really that hot when your doing 80-90...:2thumbs:

Sorry I just don't think a windshield belongs on a custom chopper and it has NOTHING to do with Gasmans statement, ya want a windshield buy a Harley, thats just my opinion

Well, I am not looking for a windshield for every day use, more or less limited to extensive high way trips. Last year I took a 1500 mile trip and it kicked my ass. I felt like the wind was bashing me the whole time. I stopped at gas stations and had dirt caked on my face from the road. Overall the trip sucked due to the wind issue. I looked over at my friends with windshields on their bikes and they were just chillin' while I was hanging on for dear life. I don't care if some of you need to feel like hard assess and not have a windshield, I choose comfort. When we get to the destination, the windshield can stay in the hotel room while we ride. Thanks for the input so far.

Speaking of balls gasman, nice new signature pic. But I miss the jiggly girl at the desk.
Sorry trying to keep it interesting for you guys.

I miss her too!! Damn, that was a great sig pic!!!:whoop:
Never happy are you?

I haven't put down as many miles as Ray, but I put in the time...from 1962-present...which gives me pussy rights. :D

And I did just that... bought a HD.

I personally agree with no windshields on choppers... out of place. The bikers aren't setup for cross country shit. Can you do it anyway? Of coarse. But truth be told, if you want to do that, buy a bike made for it. I'll bet ya dollars to donuts it will come with a windshield.

Either way... ride on boys!

But seriously.... the windshield creates an airfoil - so how do you prevent your skirt from blowing up over your face and seeing where you going? Just wondering...

J/K - to each his own, of course. Love it on my baggger, but not on the dog.

Gas - I also miss little Ms. bouncey bounce - Only reason I ever read any of your posts... hope yur well

I hear ya coach! I've been riding since 1963, and have ridden on just about everything, in just about every kind of weather. The little 10.5 on the K9 breaks just a bit of the particulate-blast for me and the wife so we can easily do our 3,000 mile trips each year.
Now to get back to changing jets for the new 600 cam!:2thumbs:

Gas: I miss miss-bouncey gettin into the jeans....

Once the chrome mounting bracket is installed on the tree the Big Dog windshield can be removed or installed in 2 minutes. If it is important for you to look cool w/o the pussy shield, removed, you would have to look hard to find evidence your bike is so equipped.
