I have a 06K9 with a 12 inch windshield on it.
I am 6 ft tall to and it works great.

Honestly I might be inclined to go the full face route myself before I would EVER put a windshield on my K-9

I use a bandanna, sunglasses & my skid lid. my 2 cents

OK...shhh...I own a windscreen . . . I'm 6' and have the 14" windscreen for my Bulldog, but I wish I had the 16" instead. I only use mine when I know I will be out past dark so to hopefully keep the bugs off of me!

When I first started riding the chopper, coming from sportbikes I rode with a Nolan full face modular. I still have it, but not have it setup for my long distance helmet with headphones and mic for my ultra. Going to run it in 3 weeks out to carslie for bike fest.

Don't let these guys beat ya up too much about it. Their balls are small so they are uncomfortable with anything out of the norm, so they compensate by ribbin you for being comfortable. :D

If that doesn't make you feel better... look at my sig. It makes me feel nice!

Speaking of balls gasman, nice new signature pic. But I miss the jiggly girl at the desk.

As for windshields......yes I have one......ON MY SUZUKI.

I admit I'm a pussy. I installed the 10.5 BD windshield last year thinking I would only use it for longer trips. I love it so much it ain't never coming off. :whoop:

It only took getting caught in a cold, driving rainstorm once to convince me that my face comfort & protection is more important than my "image" on the chopper.
Rain feels like little BB-pellets driving into your skin at highway speeds! OUCH!!!

I'm 5'11" and I had a 16" windshield and couldn't see over the windshield and trying to look through it was difficult because of the bend at the top of the windshield. . Changed to the 10.5" and it works perfect. I use it on long trips and like it. Really don't care what others think about it. Its my bike :D

Just for you haters :D

People react to the "windshield on a chopper" debate almost as vehemently as they do the age old helmet debate. I say...to each, his own...whatever floats your boat!
It's still a free country (so far, anyway!), and whatever makes you happy and gets you out on the road in the wind on that Big Dog...GO FOR IT!!!:whoop::2thumbs:

Happy Fourth of July!!!! :flag::cheers:

Mickeetwo....You're my hero. When I was shopping I believe it was your posts/pictures that convinced me a windshield was cool on a Dog. I'm a 6'1", self proclaimed pussy when it comes to riding, but I also paid my dues. I haven't put down as many miles as Ray, but I put in the time...from 1962-present...which gives me pussy rights. :D

The short 10.5" is just enough to deflect bugs, air, various debris to make it an enjoyable ride. Highway speeds will change handling characteristics a bit. :whoop: I looked at all options, Wind-Vest, Fly Screen, Switch Blade to name a few......Big Dog offers fare superior product, and can be had at a good price if you shop around....I think I paid something around $175. Good Luck

I use a bandana on long rides, summer or winter. Saves the face from wind and bugs. In the summer I pull it down at stop lights, its not really that hot when your doing 80-90...:2thumbs:
