Long time member , Howdy Strangers and Old friends alike, A couple of things First and foremost hello to all of my old friends . My 2007 Chop is approaching 30000 + miles it's a rider, Bought new driven now and then between my other bikes and cars... it's basically stock with the org electronics Ive NEVER had a issue with this bike other then a fried voltage regulator ,clutch issues , and simple repairs "brakes and front forks ect" It's never seen a shop, most all BD owners know how to wrench to some degree . It's WELL taken care of ! Still looks AWESOME . Anyway as it gracefully ages with periodic rides and reg maintenance , It now needs foot pegs and shift peg the rubber inserts are going ,I really would like to keep these stock "these don't seem to be available"? It needs yet another rear tire, & rear brake shoes. This bike has ALWAYS been reliable and plenty fast even though I'm getting older I haven't "grown up yet" so still riding it fairly hard. So after I get slammed for not visiting the group or posting in years , Recommend the best tire brand and seller for the tire replacements ,I see Avon has a new Chrome model? any good? I guess Curtus is the go to for the brakes? This bike has been a sweetheart for many years its very reliable its seen it share of shitty weather and still gets the thumbs up from most everyone!! It recently opened the eyes of a dyno operator with a HP of 106.25 and Torque of 147 for such a light bike it really runs good.. the stock S&S G while pretty crude is so easy to work on , It runs pretty consistent 13.35 AFR and just a tad rich at idle . After watching and tracking the resale prices of these machines ... I'm pretty sure it will become Garage Art once I no longer desire to "rip it" . So to all on here who love these bikes and keep them going I sulute you and give you a nod . Mines NOT FOR SALE!
