This May Be A Stupid Question

I am new to motorcycle and was curious on if this was possible or not. Is it possible to put a 300mm wheel and tire on a 2003 BD Chopper that came factory with a 250mm? If it is possible what would be needed? Thanks in advance for the replies.

No in stock form.

Do a lot of custom fab and not worry about the cost and maybe yes.

So it would not work to take a swing arm from a newer BD Chopper like a 2008? I figured but thought I would ask the pros. Thanks

Newer swing arms after 05 are set up for right side drive don't know how that would work out.

No such thing as stupid question. Wen in doubt, simply stupid not to ask! But in response to your question, the answer's no. For multitude of reasons, you'd need to redo entire frame.

I agree with Barhopper. Seems like a lot of mods would be needed like right side drive trans set up, different swing arm, new rim, 300 tire, powder coating parts, paint. It'll all add up to a lot of bucks it seems.:D

Dont you think the 250 is big enough?.... I personally am getting tired of only using the center of the 250mm tire anyway. Why pay more for a 300mm just to toss another 50mm of untouched rubber. I"M JUST SAYING.........

Every time I try to use the rest of the unused part of the tire(the sides), SPARKS fly, telling me not to lean so much or go so fast.

Kinda same thing with 250 vs 300+. How much rubber you wanna pay for that hardly EVER gets used!
