Think I'm going to pull the trigger

Have been reading here for weeks. There seems to be nothing within 4 hrs of me that I'm interested in. Someone replied to one of my few posts the other day that I have played over in my head. He said the bike will find me. I think it has. Only problem is it's on the other side of the country. I've talked to the dealer several times. He has sent video and pics of everything I've asked. All the reviews on this place are good. I've just never bought anything this expensive without looking at it. Talked to the dealer Thursday and told him I'd let him know Tuesday. He has not pushed me at all. Then the middle age in me says why do I need another bike? Then the younger man in me says you only live once. Guess we'll see Tuesday. If it's still available I'll take it as a sign and pull the trigger.

I have bought many cars and bikes “online” sight unseen. For me at least it’s been generally a good experience. I guess you need good common sense, and have to be able to form an option of a person and use your gut. The entire situation needs to make sense and feel good about it. Who they are, why they have it and why they are selling etc. you have to in a sense develop a bond and trust with them.

Yes you will need to have things come into place, but you cannot expect it to fall in your lap either. You will have to do your part.

That seems to be the general consensus on purchasing sight unseen. So far I feel good about it. I can be had as anyone can but I wasn't born yesterday. To answer a earlier question. It's in Cali, I'm in Ga. Not much farther apart. Funny thing is, I found 2 in Louisiana but the guy won't call me back. Another one 2 hrs from me but way too flags to make the trip.

I have also bought mine from out of state. All from a dealer though. Experience has been A+. I dont think I would of done it if it was a private party. That's alot of money to just hand over to who knows who. At least a dealer won't take your money and run. What year and type of bike you looking at?

Excuse my ignorance. Haven't PM'd on this site. Can't figure it out. Please PM me. I'm interested.
You will need to have 25 posts before they will turn your PM on.
Post where it is in California, and see if someone is close to take a look at it.
