These grips are such a headache!

I just got this bike a few days ago and didn't like the spiked grips. They don't like me either.

Damn I'm not laughing but lol. I got spike grip,s foot pegs, brake, and shifter pegs and I know they will get you. Havnt got my head yet but I been poked in a few other places. Its usually the foot pegs that get me when I'm down working on it

Been there, done that myself. When I'm working on one that has the pointy grips and pegs, I always tape rags around them now.

I have a scar in exactly the same place!! From the same kind of grips!! Those grips came off the next day and were sold to a guy n Tennessee. Good riddance. Could not keep my feet on the matching foot pegs, either. Slick as a mole.
But they looked good.

Do not those type, as you feel everything, besides the feeling in the head. I like grips you can grip, the same thing with pegs my boots slide off too.

Have spike grips and forward controls on my Pit.

They look good, but are a mother to work around.

I cut up pieces of foam pipe insulation and slide them over the spikes.

Has saved me numerous times from being stabbed.

I'm going to get rid of them. I wasn't the biggest fan of them to start with. I was rubber to hold onto and will likely put bar end blinkers on it to clean up the look too. Last thing I need it one of my kids who are eye level with it running into it.

Its hard enough to avoid cuts when detailing the bike without adding more sharp edges to it. And with kids around its just an accident waiting to happen.
