These are the worst kickstands in the world!

This is how I have to park my bike to feel comfortable , front wheel in the chock , 2 boards and slight tension from a strap. The wheel chock alone will hold the bike straight up and down but I wouldn't trust it so I go overboard.
I have tried the fixes on this site on the kickstand but even those small strap of Steel still had it wobbly , I do have a new bushing coming but I doubt that's going to take care of the wobble and looseness.
There are plenty of threads on kick stands, I'll invest in what seems to be a favorite

I totally agree with you, when it's up you can't even find it with your heel cuz it's so far back, I literally have to reach back and put it down with my hand. And then the bike leans so much you think it's going to fall over I have to use a piece of wood underneath it so it stands more upright a 2x6 to be exact cut about 6 in long works great.

Im confused I guess, what is the point of the block of wood under kick stand. Put your kick stand down and lean it over until it stops. Get off and walk away. I raise my passenger peg and it’s right there. One of my bike stands up pretty straight and the other leans over.

SKOGDOG

One of the old ones.
Call Eric at HDM Inc (620-680-0395) and get the 1” longer kickstand. I have used them on both my K9’s and found the extra inch to be just right. There is an Arlen Ness adjustable length kickstand available, but I have zero experience with them.

I use a condor stand in my garage when parked at home. No straps no wood, my K9 goes right in and stays there with no modifications. Also used this condor on my first BD, an 03 Pit Bull. I agree it leans over a bit much on the kick stand but maybe you need a completely new stand or longer as suggested to feel comfortable. Hopefully the new bushing will alleviate some of your concerns. I may get around to getting a longer stand at some point, but my bike is parked at home more than anywhere else so for now the condor is golden.

Thx for the reply!

Is the condor a floor based wheel chock like the one I have pictured? My floor chock will hold the bike up but it does lean to the heavy left side which is why it is on a block of wood. More for my piece of mind. YES, I am investing in a different stand.

Yes, floor based but I also use them when trailering with no kickstand and a few tie downs. This pic of the Pit is with the rear wheel out for servicing but always in the stand with nothing else needed on either bike 98B0CF17-291B-4766-B9E2-643BF7DF0AC2.jpeg

The Condor looks like it holds the front wheel in deeper.
I like that. My haborfrieght is getting replaced.
It is nice to just drive in and chock the bike.

Condors are great. Be careful the first time you use it, go slow to make sure it doesn’t hit your fender on the back side of your front tire. The 03’S and newer have a longer rear skirt. You may have to trim off a little of your wheel chock. I read that on here somewhere.

I have not had to do anything to mine but that is a good call. I’ve read from several members here about that. Condor does sell a chopper attachment also for this stand but I have not needed it. It is maybe 1/2 to 1” off my K9 fender.

I can't use the back part of the wheel chock because it will hit the rear fender just like you desribed.

I got 2 condors in my trailer, they hold the bikes up perfect. One is for a reg bike the other is a chopper chock, u def need the chopper cradle and I even cut the corners off of it cause if u didn’t have it perfectly straight it would touch the fender. U can see the regular one how big the cradle is, wouldn’t work on these low fenders without a lot of cuttingE4E64535-EA44-4CA8-B01D-B3CAB53EA58F.jpeg1E248E95-2A34-4B2D-8663-E0DCA1F5E03E.jpeg5887C374-ECF9-4549-9A51-70AC950001DC.jpeg
