So about 6 weeks ago right around the same time CanDog1 had his brake fluid/paint issue i said i would post my story of the worst sound ever heard... I rolled the bike to the end of the drive as a have for the past 4 years... Not running - just parked, bars to the right air ride down..... same thing every time... I saw some dust on the front fender got up to get a rag and stepped about 4-5 steps and i heard "IT". The sound of the kickstand scraping the ground .... turned just in time to see and hear it hit the ground on the right side..:angry::bang::bang::angry::rant: It's amazing how light they are when you are ticked off...:D So here are photos of the damage.. And i must say Progressive was Great..... Happened on a Tuesday, claim on Wednesday, Adjuster at my house on Thursday and Check in hand the following Wednesday...Also a BIG Thanks to John @ Beezers for helping with the Parts estimate..:2thumbs:

D&M spike..

NEW Chrome controls + mirror

Controls hit the dash

thought the bars were bent but it was the steering stop on the neck.

Exhaust scraped + dent

rear marker

And oh yeah... Paint damage. The rear fender had some damage from the impact to the marker. Paint chipped at the fender strut..

Naked Bike.....

I had everything painted and should have it back tomorrow.:2thumbs: and Ready for Rally on the Rock on Saturday.:2thumbs::2thumbs: replaced the marker, Exhaust covers, Air cleaner and hand Control on the right side. repaired the steering stop and finally had Seatmaker recover my seat Thanks Scott it looks awesome... Finished photos to come in a few days...

Had that happen on the left side. Bike was running, went in the garage to get a rag, then I heard the bike choking & sputtering. When I turned it was laying on it's side. Picked it up real quick & walked away for 10 minutes 'cause the thought of the paint getting screwed up made me sick. When I went back, no paint damage. License plate had a little scrape on corner & clutch handle a little scrape. Boy was I lucky & learned a lesson! NEVER & I mean NEVER, leave it running & turn your back, or the dog will bite you in the wallet.

Last week, I moved my bike forward two feet to let some else fillup at the gas pump. I tripped on the hose and didn't get the kickstand to lock forward. I held it all the way down. It marked to license plate on on the corner and marked up the left foot peg. It just happened quick! All the damage is out of sight.

Yeah I had a near dump experience, pulled into a gas station and was just going inside the store so I swung wide past all the pumps and was going to park adjacent to the curb in front of the store. Well I didn't have enough turn going and nearly scrubbed the curb. I grabbed the front brake to stop short of the curb, and had an awkward falling to the right. Luckily I got my long assed leg out there and kept it up. Sure I looked like a dipshit, but the dog didn't hit the ground. WHEEEEW. I try hard to be very careful in slow and stopped situations, that's when the BS happens.

Looking good on the fix. Can't believe how much damage you sustained from just a tip over. WoW.

Nice paint job. But still I cannot understand how the dog kicked out the stand and fell over?
