The wolf quit on me.

So I was entering on the free way and the bike quit on me. I pulled over and try to restart it but nothing, it turn over fine but it doesn't start like there is not sparks. What can be? Cam sensor? (it happen before to me) Or ignition? When I engaged the starter the engine spin very fast up to 700-800 RPM as it doesn't have compression but I have the easy start cam and that what I think make it spin like that or maybe is my belt cam? Just thinking as I'm writing I didn't think of the cam belt until now. Anyway any suggestion will be appreciate.

The turn-over with and without cam belt is only subtly different -- 1st hand experience here. When it dies, did it shut down like you turned it off?

1. Easy to check of the cam belt to see if it shred - four bolts and its the dry side of the cam plate.
2. If the belt is fine, pull a plug and ground it to the motor with the plug on. turn it over an look for a spark.

Cam belt is first thing I would check also Denny. Super easy to check and repair if you have the right socket (or make one) and the alignment pins.

Probably I will never know what was wrong with my bike. I went to pick it up this morning and it was gone, called the police and it is not been towing from any towing company. Last night when I got home I was too tired to go get it I was worried but at the same time i felt it was in a safe parking lot in front a bank not too far from my father in low house. I walked to his house and borrow a car and drove by the motorcycle before heading home and u couldn't see it at all from the street, so I felt I could leave it there.
The only one to blame it is myself I should have gone get it last night. I've been so stress out lately to try to get my business going that I didn't have any strength to come to rescue it last night.
Right now I'm here waiting for the cop to show up to make the report.

I hate leaving my bike even in the parking lot of hotels when I'm inside sleeping. I rarely get a wink of sleep, and I'll always chain my bike to something.

No any news, bike is gone for good I got not more hope to find it. I'm settling with the insurance, once is settled I'll let you know how it went.

update:
the insurance pay me for my bike $25,300 I was very pleased with the evaluation they give me of the motorcycle. I bought it for $21,800 brand new 3 years ago so financially I can't complain.
Last saturday I flu from Albuquerque to St. Louis to pick up a used 2011 road glide I rode it back, Saturday I spent the night in Springfield MO and Sunday I rode all way back to home and I did almost 900 miles in one day, it was quite of experience I don't think I never rode more than 200-250 miles in one day.
I decide to go with a Harley just because is a more passenger friendly motorcycle and hope the wife will ride more often with me.
Monday morning though when I went to work and I walked trough the garage and was park the road glide instead than my wolf I felt very bad. Seeing the wolf in the morning on my way out it would make me feel fortunate and it would put a big smile on my face, the road glide didn't make me feel that way. Big dogs bikes are pieces of art, they are just beautiful machine to watch and to ride. I'm happy I got an harley now but I really hope one day I will own another big dog.
I will keep coming back on this forum every once in a while and I hope one day to meet some of you guys.

Glad to hear that the insurance took care of you. Sad for the loss. but settlement was good. I think you'll like the RG -- that's my path when I decide to leave the BDM/BBC machines.
