The story behind the pic, Ray, Myself, my wife Denise and Jim did our annual ride to the Redwood Run. Great times at the rally had by all. We were heading home north on I-5. Ray started having issues with his bike around 10 miles south of Roseburg. Or course I figured he ran outta gas, Surprising I know. Well not this time, it was electrically. Shocking to have electrical issues on a Big Dog. Well ray called a tow, Denise and headed into Roseburg and got us rooms. The next morning Ray call Uhaul and got a box truck to get his bike home. He needed a ride to Uhaul. I told him I’d give him a ride on the Kiss bike. He was very hesitant about that. He was not to excited to ride nut to butt. Ray wanted me to put my backrest on, I told him no . I have my T-bag strapped to it, it was only 3-4 mile ride right through the middle of town on a Monday morning. I went back into my room and told Denise as soon as Ray hops on the back come out and call ray to look and get a picture. I love this picture. I swear rays ass was more on my fender then the seat. I could bearly feel his hands on my sides. We get about half way to Uhaul and Ray begin franticly slapping my sides. “ PULL OVER PULL OVER” Ray was yelling. I pulled over into a parking lot and Ray hops off. I asked Ray What going on. HE said he was so worked up about having to ride bitch behind a dude he forgot to put his helmet on. I left Ray in the lot and heading back to the hotel to get his helmet. He wasn’t happy once again to have to mount my bike riding bitch. Ray got his panel truck, we loaded up his bike and we all heading north. The battery had puked in Rays bike. Denise and I meet Ray in June of 2009 at the Redwood run. We because good friends and was lucky enough to have to pleasure to meet his son Travis and spend a lot of miles on the road with Ray, Riding to the Redwood Run, Run 21 Testy Festy, Sturgis and day ride around the PNW. Ray was a true friend with a heart of gold. And believe it or not We have had a drink or two with Ray. He will be missed but will be with us in every ride we take. Rife free my Brother. upload_2018-10-18_10-24-1.jpeg

There it is again! Thanks again Jeff for the clarification of what created this once in a life time shot. He'll be missed, but not forgotten....

Ambassador Raywood absolutely loved riding with Jeff and Denise. Both are accomplished riders and the bride can kick safety cones off the interstate at 80mph while riding her own Harley.

Ray would tell the story several times that Jeff mentioned but usually left out the part about where his hands were and the nutty to buddy stuff.

And Ray ran out of gas several times on his 2005 chopper, yet believe there is only photographic evidence of two occasions, the one mentioned above and the one mentioned by Bubblehead in this thread: http://www.bigdogbiker.com/threads/thoughts-and-prayers-needed-for-ray-raywood.83262/
