I had a guy hand paint my belt on my Karata. It took him about an hour just to get the design drawn on so that the pinstripe flames would wrap all the way around.

Oh, Gas, I caught onto the 2006 BDM Pheonix on the other site!!!

WOW Gas , first time I saw the sissy bar.
That is real sweet.
That is going to make a huge eye candy difference.

I may have missed it , How did the work for that?

Good for you bro.

Did you have any problems with longevity of the paint? I don't want it to look like poo after a short time.. that is my only concern at this point.

the second part... hmmm.. bout time somebody figured somin out. I had to do something to get on there and PM people to come over here!

The work was done by Eric at Choppin Steel. He's in flint. See the sissy bar thread in customizing or click the blue box in this thread where I quoted the pics at.

Hey Gas, My pinstripes where done in bright orange and after about 8 months to a year they still looked great. He used One-Shot Pinstriping Paint. It is a lead base paint. Old skool paint all the "Real" pinstripers use. Cool thing is, if you want to change the paint design, wipe it off with Lacquer thinner. That is what I did when I sold my primary. couldn't even tell it was on there.
Jake

Looks like Eric set you up pretty nice, pipes look like they tuck in pretty well considering the design. Sissy bar looks top notch as well. Looks like a great project starting to come together.

Also, I picked up my polishing today from ALL-BRIGHT POLISHING .

He did a set of forward controls I got off ebay and a set of levers that needed some "freshing" up. The forward controls had a few nics in them and he got ALL of it out! Gave me a great price and the parts turned out great.

No worries, I'm still trying to get a hold of the guy for the lockplates, 2 calls, 3 emails, no answer yet.
Thanks Al, let me know. I don't have the RMD yet so no idea what it is. But if he already has the info and the parts. Order them, and if you can just spot the cash and I'll get ya back.

Thanks Dave, I'm trying man.

I think everyone will want to meet at Gas' house for the 1st, I know that I am getting excited to see it... too bad no one will want to park next to him anymore.
It will be just him and Al... 'cause we all know Al will be coming up with something cool.

I might have to join Nate with a Honda, the pressure is getting to be too much :D

Got some more in today, and paid for some more!

Got in the Dyna 3ohm coils (specialty coils from Vulcan due to being black with no print and straight angled outputs) , and Vulcan gothic coil mount spike. It gets attached to the Yankee motor mount kinda as pictured above, just need to get the nessc bolts.

Also, got in a set of Mean Street 41mm gothic fork bezels to go with the already stated Accutronix tripples (sorry about the pen, trying to get it stand up for the side shot)

Here's how close the fork bezels will look to the vulcan coil mount

The Wicked Image tribel flame shift linkage

Look how nicely it matches the debrix flamed out mirrors

Also, the set of LRB brade pads for some general maintance

And some fork oil (have seals on the way) and new exhaust and intake gaskets
