The Road to Recovery

I was seriously considering tackling the repair of my '07 K9 myself while pestering Marky Marc & Shannon for tips, tricks & advice. Well, long story short, at the end of the day, I took her over & dropped her off with Shannon.
Turns out that this was the right decision. Although I'm pretty mechanically inclined, one thing I do not know how to do is weld.
He's been keeping in contact with me via text & pictures. I love the fact that I don't have to wonder what's going on. The regular updates are very much appreciated. Turns out that the stops on the neck were damaged in the accident & he had to basicly rebuild them. Initially he prepared me for the probability that the welding was probably going to damage the powder coating around the neck, but, he ended up executing the repair with no further damage. I'm getting pretty excited now to see her in good rideable condition again. Unfortunately, several cosmetic items are just going to have to wait but the journey has begun. Much thanks to MR. Wright (Shannon) for everything you are doing to put my girl back on the road
Thanks to the Kaptin, Marky Marc, & BDPK for keeping parts available.

Great job Wright! Now that you have all that machining equipment, can you turn me out a stash tube cover?

Damn, that's my worst fear riding at night, hope he was not hurt too bad
Well, that was November 7th at about 8:30pm. I was unable to walk at all for about 6 weeks. Then I could hobble on crutches for another 2-3 weeks, then I walked cane assisted for another month or so after that.

BUT, other than the big hole in my wallet, I've made a full recovery. The wallet is still mending, but it will get there too.
