There was ride today for MDA that we went to this morning. It was raining straight down right up until a few minutes before the actual ride left out,, an hour delay, but still left out in the rain as it was letting up a little. Me being the shin-o-hol-ic that I am drove the truck up there and donated to the cause as If I was riding... scooter is still clean... There was almost a hundred bikes in the ride several hauling a rider too. The weather did not really cooperate but I salute the folks that showed up in the pouring down rain,, some from out of state. It turned out really well for the rainy beginning. Most of the folks there were Harley riders , one can-am too, several others in the mix.
We got there as they were about to leave and I walked down to the area where the line was in the parking lot. I usually wear my Patriot Guard shirt to rides and I had it on even though I didn't ride, proud to support our troops any way I can. The guy on a bike called over to him in the last part of the line,,, and says, "Thank you Sir". I guess I kinda looked surprised, and he pointed at the shirt and said, "I just got home from Afganistan,,, thank you sir for supporting us,, we really appreciate it". We talked a second as the ride was leaving,,I told him , you know you thanked me, it is my pleasure to support you all as I can, and I think we all feel like that too. It is you that deserves all the thanks".

You know folks our country in a mess and we all are feeling it. Lets do the best we can to help and support the people that we can that struggle everyday to deal with the hand they have been dealt in a wheelchair and even worst. But whatever we do let us never ever forget the support our countries troops where ever they are and whatever they are doing.
