The Older the Dog, The Stiffer the Horn

So I think it's pretty unanimous that none of us care for the stock BD horn. Yeah, yeah, I've heard all the stuff about "my pipes are loud enough" or "My bike is too fast to need one" blah blah blah.

I decided to upgrade mine anyways.

I know there are more fancy and powerfull alternatives but I spent $14.99 at Pep Boys and I'm GTG.

Here's what the package looks like.

Bit of a size difference between the new one and the stocker but the new one will fit with a little maneuvering.

When I try to watch them it tells me they are private videos and you need to accept the senders invation if your were sent one.....
That would make them quiter than the stock horn not hearing them at all...

my bad, fixed now. The new one is alot louder than the video shows.

Is it just a regular replacement horn or is there something special about it? The stock horn sounds too "cute" to be on a Big Dog.

I like the idea of a much louder horn. :2thumbs: Does the new horn draw more current than the original horn when in use? Just wondering if it could possibly overload the ehc horn circuit. I'm not sure about what the horn circuits amperage capacity rating is.

Good question (for Night Train) cause I don't know.

I didn't really consider the sensitivity (if any) of the newer Dog EHCs when I decided to go this way since my EHC doesn't reall operate the same way as yours (sorry).

It's just a regular car horn but I'll have to read the specs on it when I get home to know for sure.:2thumbs:

When some one pisses me off I just lay on the horn about 2 seconds into it I start to smile then laugh. It is such a pathetic little things but it keeps me sane sometimes.
