Ive road mutiple times in the smokey mountains but never have got to ride over in that area....i been looking over that area last few weeks trying to map me out a good weeks worth of riding and camping
Send me what you got and I'll add a few not to well known places. Like the oldest and last remaining wood covered bridge near a small town named Tryon, which just happens to have a pizza place called Side Street and the food there is awesome plus there is a bar inside too. And you have the Blue ridge Parkway which I usually start somewhere in Ashville N.C. and can ride it all the way to the Virgina state line. Blackbear Mountain is always a good ride, and from where I live to Boborosa is an amazing ride. Lake Lure is a good riding spot but just be careful of how loud your bike is they do enforce noise ordinance there now days.

Whenever you get ready let me know and if my work schedule allows it I'll join you for as long as I can.

Likewise, my schedule is pretty free -- I just don't camp -- need to have a hotel close by!

Ok, I did not know that I was going to start something when I mentioned that the northeast should have a gathering. I was trying to get the riders from RI, CT, MA, NH ,ME, VT, NY PA, NJ and our Canadian freinds as we are all so close in miles. But I do like the idea as this also gives us other options to go a different place and meet others that may not be that far away from some other states near by. The other thing is running these as a 2 or 3 day event is you can arrive either Thursday or Friday day or night and still meet a bunch of us and talk Big Dogs and work a ride or 2 in with some new friends. I have been very fortunate to have met many Big Dog owners over the last few years from all around the states and looking forward to meeting many more.

Well very glad you did start something. lol. I've been on this form since 2009 and i think I've met 5 ppl off of it over the years. I've tired in previous years to meet ppl at Myrtle Beach Bike Week with no luck, seems no one really goes there that much any more. At last years Spring Rally Donna and Derrick hooked me up with one of their friends that lives near Myrtle because I had issues with my Mastiff at bike week. I got my bikes back from a shop that had them for 6 months and did a lot of work to them but ripped me off in the end less than a week before the Rally. Between working third shift and trying to get everything packed and ready for the first bike week in more than 5 years and ordering parts and installing them once Donna rush shipped them to me that weren't installed or purchased by the shop and cleaning the bikes, I didn't have time to ride and check out the bikes before leaving for bike week. At bike week the first night there I noticed my turn signals were working ass backwards, when I put my left turn signal on the rear left would come on with the front right one and vise verse when I put my right turn signal on. So I called Donna and Derrick up asking for advice and if they knew anyone close by that could work on the bike, cause of course I didn't take any tools with me because the shop done such great work and had my bikes for so long everything was done right on them...NOT.

So they sent me to see their friend and mine now Dave. He was nice enough to party all night then wake up around 7 am to work on my bike the next morning, even offering me a cup of coffee when I got to his house. Charged me 20 bucks to switch my front turn signals around then gave me a Suck Bang Blow t-shirt worth 20 bucks, he bought the night before. Let me sit on his Bourget chopper which is sick as hell and invited me into his house. Told me some new places to try out since I had not been to MB in so long, let me play with his dog and cat. lol But he is a Big Dog owner also and I have to admit he, Donna and Derrick took care of me.

So I'm hoping to meet and make as many new friends in the Dog Pound as I can. And hopefully I can help out as much as so many on here have helped me out. If that means coping you and starting a South East Gathering then I'm all for it, FL, GA, SC, NC, TN, VA, We can do weekend rides or different bike weeks, or heck if your close enough bike nights. lol. I'm all for it. So Thank you MinuteMan for the great idea...

Rick and Roger do a lot more then I do, those guys ride a lot and hard, a little more hard then me. I am a slow poke compared to them.
But if BD guys want to get together I will see if I can make it work.
